More Percy Jackson!!!

I got exciting news!!

We are getting more Percy Jackson!!!

I love that character sooo much. Anything written by Rick from Percy’s point of view, is just awesome. So you’ll understand me for getting-crazy excited for this..

“In response to an awful camp orientation video created by the god Apollo, Percy Jackson and other residents of Camp Half-Blood answer such questions as “What is this place?” and “Do I get to keep the T-shirt?” Newbies can check out the section on the Divine Cabins, read up on Magical Landmarks, and consult the chapter of Training Arenas. But Camp Half-Blood Confidential explores much more than just the buildings and grounds. It includes info that can only be learned from those who live there. For instance, campers do not always co-exist in peace and harmony. The camp is not run with superior efficiency. Prophecies do not flow forth with great regularity. Sprinkled throughout are stories from heroes who have called Camp Half-Blood home or just passed through on their way to places unknown. Chiron himself introduces the book with a brief history of training based on his millennia of experience. And, of course, there are divine words of wisdom from the god Apollo himself, because . . . well, because the demigod authors would prefer not to be struck down, thank you very much.”

I’m soooo excited!!! The book comes out May 2, 2017. But, it’s available for pre-order fight now. So go pre-order yours.

Lauren Kate’s Fallen Movie Trailer Talk

Who else is excited for the Fallen movie?.. Woooo!!!

If you haven’t seen the trailer Click Here to see it.

But if you saw it, let’s talk about it!!!

First of all, I have to be completely honest, I don’t remember a lot of the book. The details are a little fuzzy lol. So keeping that in mind here’s what I think.

(by the way I think the cast is right on point)

Can we all talk first about the weirdness of this movie’s promotion or publicity. I mean it isn’t normal and I’m scared that the franchise will suffer before taking of.

i don’t really now that much about publicity or whatever, but anyone can see that this is not going well. First of all, someone “allegedly” leaked the trailer and then it was release latter on. (I think it was good, more on that later). They told fans to share it so that the movie could be release or something like that. I guess they were trying to make the movie promote it self. And i don’t think that was a good call. I mean, not even JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beast and Where to find them relied on that because this days they have to work really hard to move franchise like that especially one like Fallen. Those types of movies aren’t selling as much anymore.

And now for some reason or thanks to that, I don’t know, the movie has release dates in places like Brazil, Chile, Hong Kong (Click Here for more on that) but not a US release. I have no idea why, but that’s how it is. Hopefully we will get one but it kind of looks like a strait to dvd movie in the US.

Now, the trailer was really good, all though it looks a lot like twilight. But I guess a more action-pack version of twilight. And if you read the books you’ll know that it doesn’t have that creepy gap age thing (I did loved Twilight, but lets be real). I think the cast is right on point and the setting looks pretty cool. It looks like a really entertaining movie. But I guess not enough for theaters.

I don’t know.

It is really hard to get theatrical releases this days. Although there are movies that get them and shouldn’t have (*coughs* When the Bough Breaks *coughs*)

I wish this movie had a US release but so far that looks really far away.

If anyone knows anything about it please let me know, cause I really want to see it.

Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them News..?

Soooo, I guess this is how #fantasticbeastsandwheretofindthem is going to look like now…

2016-11-01 22.08.18.jpg

As the Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them movie aproshes a lot of rumors are running around..

2016-09-01 11.08.07

And to be honest I’m getting really worried about these movies. My expectations were really high for them… now they are definitely coming down.

One of the announcements this week was that Johnny Depp was going to be playing an important character on them. Now I don’t know much about the craziness of his personal life and to be honest that’s his business. The reason why it worries me that he is going to be on these movies is because lately the rolls that he has played all looked the same. And I think that this could be too much for him. I know he is a good actor, but I’m not sure that he’ll make a good asset for the movies. I don’t know.

I have no idea if this is true but there are rumors that Johnny Depp might be playing a younger Dumbledore. Again this are just rumors but I’m really hoping they are just that. I wouldn’t mind if he played Gellert Grindelwald but I do think those roles are really big so I have no idea how he is going to pull them off. They do say that he is going to be making a cameo on this one so we’ll see.

On a more positive note, I saw on YouTube that we might se Aragog make an appearance because he said in Chamber of Secrets that he came in the pocket of a traveler from a distant land 🤔

Another thing they announce is that they are going to be making 5 movies. Now this is awesome but it really makes you think because I’m not sure Newt Scammander can be stretch enough to make those 5 movies. That must mean that they are making the movies all about Dumbledore and Grindelwald. That’s something that every true fan wants to see. the battle against him was something mega important that made Albus famous.

I’m hoping they won’t screw this movie up because some people weren’t that happy with The Cursed Child. I loved it, but not everyone did and I do understand why. #anythingfromthetrolleydears (need I say more?!) .
2016-09-01 11.08.27

Anyways I’m still going to watch the movie. Hopefully it would be completely amazing.

My Review:

This book was great; Mary Ting is an awesome writer. This is the third instalment of the Angel Knights series and is full of twist and turns that by the end is going to leave you wanting more. This book was fun to read. You are going to love it. Go down below to check out the rest of the series if you haven’t already. And there’s also an excerpt/book teaser below so check it out.

I’ll be doing a spoilery-book-talk later, about the three books. That’s why I’m keeping this book review light. Lol

Teaser of THE BLESSED KNIGHTS (The Angel Knights Book 3) by Mary Ting:

Ikelia leaned back against the door and looked at her fingernails as if she was bored while the other hand stroked the dagger on her belt. “What do you want, Vince? Why bother to come? You know how this will go. You’ll try to capture me, but I’ll humiliate you by kicking you out. Run along to Cyrus and tell him you couldn’t find me, and maybe he won’t butcher you.”

Vince hissed and whipped out his sword, and in a flash he was in front of her. Pointing the tip on Ikelia’s neck, he said, “Don’t mock me, little witch.” He lowered his gaze and the sword. “No necklace this time? What a pity.” He clucked his tongue and raised his hand to show her the same sunburst necklace Eli had around his neck.

Ikelia shoved the sword out of the way and paced toward the broken glass. “You can keep it. It won’t protect you, and it certainly won’t harm me. Besides, you don’t know the spell. You weren’t worthy to have one passed down to you. What a shame. It’s quite useful when you know how to use one.”

After she walked in a complete circle, she bent down on her knees and placed her hands a few inches off the pile of shards. At her mumbled words, blue, red, gold, and green pieces lifted in the air and pressed together, forming a beautiful three-feet-tall vase I had seen earlier on top of a small wooden table. The item had glued itself back together.

“There.” Ikelia clapped her hands two times and strode toward the door. “Good as new.” She smirked. “It’s like you were never here. Your magic is no match for mine. You’re in my domain. Don’t forget that. And I believe you have something that is mine.” She wiggled her index finger. The sunburst necklace Vince held flew into her hands and coiled around her neck.

Vince’s eyes darkened. He trembled with rage, ready to pounce on her, but instead raised his arm toward the glass cases.

The top of one of the glass cases shattered outward, and glass splinters blasted in the air. From inside the case, a small dagger flew toward her as he threw the one from his belt.

I gasped, and then held the breath. Had she seen the second dagger coming for her? I twitched, ready to bolt to her rescue, even though I knew I shouldn’t, but Father pressed his hand on my shoulder, firm and strong. He knew me too well. I had failed Eli, and I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing for his mother. I had enough guilt as it was; I didn’t want to add more.

The first dagger stopped inches from the spot between her eyes, but the second one nicked her leg and dropped to the ground with a loud clang. Blood soaked the dark fabric, but she made no sound. I was pretty sure she didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of hurting her.

“Are you bleeding? Pity, I guess you can’t handle more than one at a time. You’ve been warned, but you can surrender anytime.”

Vince raised his hand again. Five daggers bolted from under his cloak fast as lightning. They jabbed her cape and pinned her against the wooden door, two daggers on each side and one between her legs, while some sort of darkness swirled around her. Magic light, only visible to supernatural beings.

“Well, well, well, what will Cyrus think of me now? I think he’ll butcher you instead of me. What do you think?” He took a step toward her with each word. Caressing her cheek, he spoke again. “It’s too bad we’re not on the same side, precious witch. Such a waste of a pretty thing. Now my eyes will be sore from missing your beautiful face. There aren’t many beautiful things that hold my attention in this world.”

“Shut up. Let me go,” Ikelia spat, wiggling herself to set free.

Vince pushed back. “Don’t even bother. Don’t you know about my special daggers? No magic can break my spell.”

Ikelia’s lips spread wide in a smug grin, like she had something up her sleeve, but she did nothing nor said nothing to break the daggers’ spell. “Don’t worry, Vince. You know I always have something handy, even if it isn’t on me.”

Vince whipped his head toward the wall, straight at us. Could he see us? Impossible. Father shielded us. Raising his chin, his nose twitched, like a dog sniffing the air. “I was right. You do have a human—not one, but two?” He beamed a mischievous grin. “Stay right there.” He didn’t look at her, but instead placed his palms flat against the wall just feet from where we looked through. “I feel so much energy coming through the wall. Perhaps someone or some beings are spying on us.”

I stiffened and held my breath as he tapped the wall. Ikelia watched with narrowed, daggered eyes.

“There’s nothing there, idiot. Touch the wall all you wish.” Ikelia scoffed.

“Release the wall, Ikelia, or I’ll hurt you more,” he threatened, eyes cold and unyielding.

Everyone inch of me begged her to do it, only because I had no idea what torture Vince would inflict on her. I already knew she wouldn’t die. Vince had said he was to take her to Cyrus, and I had watched her die when Eli and I astral walked to the day of her death. But then I thought of Jacques and Geoffroi. What took Vince so long to figure out humans were on the other side? Did they come out of the barrels? Oh please, let me be wrong.

When she didn’t answer, a smaller dagger flew out from the glass case and dug into Ikelia’s leg, the same spot she had been nicked earlier. Her body curled inward, but the restraints held her in place. Her face blanched and eyes rolled back, but she didn’t make a sound.

“Release the barrier, Ikelia,” Vince demanded, his tone harder and colder.

When she did nothing again, the dagger twisted, digging into her flesh. That time, she cried out. She must have released the shield unwillingly for Vince to curl his lips to his ears.

“That’s a good girl,” he cooed. “I think I’ll have fun with your pets.” He winked at her, and one of his feet slipped right through the wall.

I panicked. We had to help Jacques and Geoffroi. But before I could mutter a word, Ikelia closed her eyes, and then shot her eyes open toward the clock. The pendulum stopped ticking, frozen in place. As if the clock held the power of time and space inside the store, everything stilled, even Vince, who was almost through to the other side. One heel stuck out.

Check out the entire Angel Knights series!

My Review:

This book was really enjoyable. I have to admit that I was a little bit lost at first, like I couldn’t get into the story, but at the same time I couldn’t put it down.

It took me by surprise how much I enjoyed it. I found the premise interested when I read it but for some reason I wasn’t expecting it to be as enjoyable as it was. The world, was written so great, it was like a movie was running in my head while I read it, without any effort. And although some of the scenes dragged a little but it actually worked for me.

I’m going to be doing a spoilery-book-talk later. Because I really want to talk about this book, but I don’t want to ruin it for you. So check out the expert below and go on the link above so you can get your hands on this awesome book.

You’re never prepared for the sound of someone breaking down your front door.

The wood splinters, the sound like a bone snapping. The doorknob hits the wall. My adrenaline is a gunshot to my chest.

For a moment, I am perfectly still, the frog in the flashlight beam. My book falls onto the covers with a muffled thump. My hands are shaking and my vision is blurry. I can’t breathe right. This doesn’t feel real, but I know it is.

We have a security system, state of the art, but it doesn’t go off. Why doesn’t it go off?

More splintering sounds, a loud thud, a slam. Footsteps.

I hear voices.

I run toward the window. It doesn’t have a latch. It isn’t supposed to open. Of course not. I hit it with the heels of my hands, but I know the glass won’t break, because it is bulletproof.

They had to have heard that. I have to get out of here now.

I kick the glass so hard I fall back on the bed. When I push myself up, somebody’s in the doorway.

Everything slows down and becomes painfully distinct.

He’s not tall, but he’s muscled, with a blunt, square face. The dark shape of him in my doorway is foreign and wrong, like a spider in the shower. He’s blocking the hall, and behind him, I barely hear the shatter of things falling in the kitchen over the roaring of blood in my ears.

He’s looking at me, and I’m looking at him. My mind jumps ahead to what is going to happen next, but then I stop thinking about that because I’m not going to give up yet. The feeling surges inside me, a wave of fierce and terrible protest.

He yells something to someone in another room, but I can’t understand him. My brain has stopped processing language. Instead, I’m seeing the room around me. The exits. There’s no door out except the one he’s standing in. I can’t run through the walls.

I’m trapped.

The world slows down. Time feels like cement, and every eye blink takes a thousand years. I reach behind me and grab anything I can reach—a hairbrush. It’s the most worthless weapon in the world, but I clutch it to my chest like it’s a knife. I’m thinking, WHERE IS MY CELL PHONE?

I can’t breathe.

A girl steps into the doorway beside the guy. She has dark brown hair and a flawlessly beautiful face, but her smile is angry. A toboggan hat is pulled down almost to her eyebrows, and she’s wearing slouchy torn jeans. She’s chewing gum, and she blows a bright pink bubble as she points at me. Her fingernails are painted sky blue.

They come around the bed. I back up to the wall. My heart slams against my ribs.

Fight, flight, or freeze. Those are my options. I can’t flee, so fight or freeze?

I pick fight.

Book Description:

“Dawn Hathaway is a realist. She’s not the smartest girl at Allenhurst College. She’s not the prettiest, either. So if she wants to be popular, she’ll need something else: power. What better way to get it than to start a gossip column in the campus newspaper? If she has to commit a few minor crimes in pursuit of the latest scoop, what’s the harm?

Arturo Perez loves being a campus cop. He knows Allenhurst’s nooks and crannies—and lately he’s been finding the campus gossip snooping into every one of them. He can’t deny that he enjoys bantering with the sassy schemer. But he also can’t shake the sense that there’s more going on with Dawn than meets the eye.

When tragedy strikes and Dawn needs help, how far will Art go to protect her?”

Available at: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | iBooks

Book Excerpt:

“You aren’t going to call my parents, are you?” Never mind that I only had one, and that Daddy finding out I was drinking probably wouldn’t even rate a phone call from him. I stuck out my lower lip and tried to make it quiver, not enough that I could be accused of purposeful manipulation, but enough—I hoped—that I was communicating some remorse.

“Nope,” said Officer Perez, totally unaffected by my emotional display. “You’re eighteen. Welcome to adulthood.”

“Welcome to adulthood, yet I’m not allowed to buy alcohol?”

“That is correct.” He handed my ID to the cop next to him, and that cop flipped open a little notepad and started writing on it.

“You’re a campus cop,” I said, letting my gaze rake over Perez’s belt. It held a baton and handcuffs and a few other things I didn’t recognize, but no gun. The other guy had a gun.

He glanced at the patch on his right biceps that read ALLENHURST COLLEGE PD. It was stretched taut over the muscle. “And you have a talent for stating the obvious.”

“Do you even have jurisdiction here? Because we’re not actually on campus.” We were a mere two blocks from it, but still. If he wasn’t going to respond to my remorseful-little-girl act, maybe I could wiggle out through a procedural loophole.

“That’s why this guy”—he jerked his thumb at the colleague I’d come to think of as Good Cop—“is writing your ticket.”

“Teamwork,” Good Cop said, smiling as he ripped off the ticket and held it out to me. “Allenhurst PD at your service, miss.”

“Oh, so you need a real cop to close your deals.” I was being a brat for no reason now, but I hated the fact that this big guy, this big gunless guy, could just step in and ruin everything.

The big gunless guy in question took a step toward me. God, he was big. Maybe he didn’t need a gun because of those tree-trunk arms. They looked like they were more than sufficient to take on any villain. “Perhaps you’d prefer that instead of issuing you that fifty-dollar possession ticket, I have my ‘real cop’ friend here arrest you,” he said. “And hey, while we’re at it, we’ll get your friends for furnishing alcohol to a minor.”

“You can’t do that!”

He took another step, leaving only a few inches between us. My eyes were level with the middle of his chest, so I had to crank my neck back to maintain eye contact. He was probably doing it on purpose, trying to intimidate me and compensate for his lack of a gun.

He smirked. “Perhaps you’d care to add resisting arrest?”

After a brief detour to get a PhD in geography, she worked as a professional writer, producing everything from speeches to magazine articles. Banned Books Week: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

by Lewis Carrol

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was first published November 26, 1865 by Macmillan Publishing.

Book Description:

“So begins the tale of Alice, following a curious White Rabbit down a rabbit-hole and falling into Wonderland. A fantastical place, where nothing is quite as it seems: animals talk, nonsensical characters confuse, Mad Hatter’s throw tea parties and the Queen plays croquet. Alice’s attempts to find her way home become increasingly bizarre, infuriating and amazing in turn. A beloved classic, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has continued to delight readers, young and old for over a century.”

Banned Reasons:

This book has been banned in some places for his alleged promotion of drug use and its use of talking animals.
