Book Description:

“The gods are angry.

Volcanic eruptions, sinkholes, ground shakers–everything points to their unhappiness. At least that is what the king of Armania believes. His son, Prince Wilek, thinks his father’s superstitions are nonsense, though he remains the ever dutiful heir apparent to the throne.

When a messenger arrives and claims that the town of Farway has been swallowed by the earth, the king sends Wilek to investigate. But what Wilek discovers is more cataclysmic than one lost city. Even as the ground shifts beneath his feet, Wilek sets out on a desperate journey to save his people and his world. But can he do it before the entire land crumbles?”

My Review:

You guys know what procrastinating is? It’s my life. lol Sometimes for some freaking stupid reason (and by sometimes I mean almost all the time) I start a book and put it aside and then I start another one and I also put it aside and so on and so on. The books could be freaking awesome and I may be enjoying the hell out of them, but I still do it. Because I guess my brain wants to read way more faster than it can. I don’t know. lol Anyways, the point is that this exact same thing happened to me with this book. I really enjoyed it. The story hooks you in. The characters are interesting and in my opinion well written and the world building is fantastic.

This book will hooked you instantly. Jill’s writing is soooo good. You are definitely going to love this book. Even though this book is Christian-fiction Jill touches some really controversial subjects that I think she did in a very on point way.

I highly recommend this book. If you are a fan of awesome epic fantasy you should definitely read this one. This book is the first one of a series, the second one is already out so go check them both out. I’ll review the second one later as soon as I’m finish with it.

This book was given to me by Bethany House Publishing in exchange of an honest review.
