Tales From the Peculiar Book Review

Back again with the peculiars,.. for the last time… I think.

Tales From the Peculiar

           by Ransom Riggs

29358487

Book Description:

“Before Miss Peregrine gave them a home, the story of peculiars was written in the Tales.

Wealthy cannibals who dine on the discarded limbs of peculiars. A fork-tongued princess. The origins of the first ymbryne. These are but a few of the truly brilliant stories in Tales of the Peculiar—known to hide information about the peculiar world—first introduced by Ransom Riggs in his Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series.

Riggs now invites you to share his secrets of peculiar history, with a collection of original stories, as collected and annotated by Millard Nullings, ward of Miss Peregrine and scholar of all things peculiar.”

My Review:

This book is like a book of weird fairytales. It was good, and some of the stories where interesting but at some parts I had to admit I was a little bit bored. I did loved, when some of the stories that had been read in Miss Peregrine’s books, specifically, Library of Souls, where in this one as well. That made it feel real and part of the Miss Peregrine’s Books. Like part of the adventure.

This book is a great companion to the series, and believe me, as you finish the series you’ll really want to read this one. It makes the series feel real, well, as real as a fantasy series can be. And since the ending of Library of Souls feels like been forced awake from a great dream, this one will make you feel like your toes are tasting the water again (no idea what I’m saying lol).
