Pottermore Presents:

Short Stories from Hogwarts from Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies.

by JK Rowling

Pottermore Presents is a collection of J.K. Rowling’s writing from the Pottermore archives: short reads originally featured on with some exclusive new additions. These eBooks, with writing curated by Pottermore, will take you beyond the Harry Potter stories as J.K. Rowling reveals her inspiration, intricate details of characters’ lives and surprises from the wizarding world.

These stories of heroism, hardship and dangerous hobbies profile two of the Harry Potter stories’ most courageous and iconic characters: Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin. J.K. Rowling also gives us a peek behind the closed curtains of Sybill Trelawney’s life, and you’ll encounter the reckless, magical-beast-loving Silvanus Kettleburn along the way.

My review/ “ebook-short-story-talk”

I was really excited when this short stories were publish. I know they where in but for some reason I never got to read them there. So you can imaging my excitement when they were finally in my kindle and on my hands.

In this particular one Short Stories from Hogwarts from Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies, we get to see the back story of some of the most beloved characters on the Harry Potter books. Minerva McGonagall, Remus Lupin.

“His desperate desire to belong and to be liked meant that he was neither as brave nor as honest as he ought to have been.”

-From the book

Remus Lupin story is one full of sadness, bravery and true love that ended up sad nonetheless. Likewise McGonagall’s story ran a little like Lupin’s story but different. Both stories were beautiful and sad in their own way.

Now this book also tells the story of Professor Trelawney and Professor Kettelburn.  They are also great in their own way. But out of the two I enjoyed Silvanus Kettleburn more. He is shown as a great and passionate man who fought till the end in his own way. Showing a bravery that not many had in the final battle at Hogwarts.

Anyways this short ebook of short stories was freaking awesome a most read for any Harry Potter fan.
