Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance Game
Where does God’s Word fit in a gaming world?
“Right in the middle of it!” says Tyndale House Publishers and Scarlet City Studios. The two organizations have formed an exciting partnership to bring the gospel story to young gamers. Tyndale’s new Aetherlight Bible releases this summer and is built around themes from the new action-adventure online game The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance.
I love this idea!!! I think this is super great for kids. The game is really easy to follow. And I know kids will get it right away.
One of the awesome things about this game is that you can be relief in the fact that is safe for kids to play by them self’s because it is based on God’s word. You won’t see a really pushy-propaganda but it’s safe because it is supposed to be use alongside the new Aetherlight Bible NLT. You don’t have to buy the bible to play the game but I’m pretty sure after you see this game you’re going to want to buy it. Kids can make their own “avatar” and everything. It’s really fun.
Now this is the part where I would normally start reviewing the Bible but there was some trouble with the shipment (I’m guessing, I don’t know) and I still don’t have it. Once I get it I will review it for you. I did see the game though, and had the chance to play it and it was really cool. I really think kids are going to enjoy it. It reminded me of Kingdom Hearts. There’s also a great Bible plan in the Bible app that you can do with your kids. I wont say anything else about it because I think I was pretty clear with the Kingdom Hearts reference.
